ARVIN, TEHACHAPI and MOJAVE CA –

PG&E have announced that on Tuesday May 31st

their crews will be in the above area engaged in work that involves a safe and controlled natural

gas. This work may produce a very loud noise along the pipelines and produce a strong yet safe

odor of natural gas similar to the smell of rotten eggs. The odor may last up to 24 hrs and may

affect areas of Arvin and Tehachapi; with a wind shift this could also affect Mojave or the City of

Bakersfield.

Last weeks release bought concern to residents in Bakersfield. If you have a gas leak do not

hesitate to call 911, for a gas odor in the area you are advised to call PG&E.
